Resilient under pressure: this is the programme for the Security & Privacy Conference 2026

Geopolitical tensions, cyber threats and a shortage of ICT talent are putting our institutions under increasing pressure. How do we remain resilient? This question is central to the Security & Privacy Conference. The keynote speeches challenge us to look at these issues from a different perspective or offer us a deeper understanding of specific themes. Together, we will discover and explore how we can remain resilient in education and research, both today and in the future.

The first speaker at the Security & Privacy Conference 2026 has been announced

On 25 June, Bert Hubert, founder of PowerDNS, will deliver a keynote speech on digital sovereignty and the European Calimero complex. With his keynote ‘Sovereignty 2.0: and now for real’, Hubert sets the tone straight away. He outlines the state of affairs regarding digital sovereignty in Europe and the Netherlands and shows that we are not nearly as helpless as we think.
